In the near future, the Navy develops a fighter jet piloted by an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manuevers from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, it&#39;s the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war... The crap-fest of the year. After watching this movie, you actually wonder about the process that actors go through choosing scripts that are thrown their way. Fresh off his award winning performance in &quot;Ray&quot;, the likable Jamie Foxx stars in this stinker that has you scratching your head as you ponder &quot;What the hell was he thinking?&quot; Rob Cohen,famous for being the producer of the massive hit Knight Rider 2010, (nice one to have on the resume) directs this mess. He is missing a large portion of his brain that determines what looks fake, what looks stupid and what is ridiculous. Even more puzzling is that based on the marketing money spent on this movie, someone high up determined that this should be a winner. His job is in jeopardy.<br/><br/>Cohen, being the director of the adolescent favorite &quot;The Fast and the Furious&quot;, follows the same formula - quick pace, nice T&amp;A, stupid &amp; unbelievable action scenes, and idiotic story and script.<br/><br/>The one bright spot is the 20 second Jessica Biel in a bikini scene. The best body in Hollywood does not disappoint, and thank goodness for freeze frame. Anyhoo, in summary - Dumb, and dumber, excellent bikini shot, and just plain stupid. Stealth got some bad reviews in the past, but after seeing it, I believed that it was a fun movie. Most people have grown to dislike Josh Lucas&#39;s characters after roles like his character in &quot;Hulk,&quot; but Lucas is very likable here. Jessica Biel is in fine form, playing her highly advanced female pilot role very well (and looking mighty good too lol). Jamie Foxx adds comic relief, despite being in only half the movie.<br/><br/>The plot centers around three elite pilots, (Lucas, Biel, Foxx), who are a great rag-tag team. Their captain (Sam Shepard) announces to them that they have a new mission: to show a new comrade the ropes of the air. Simple, right? Here&#39;s the catch: the comrade is a computer-controlled plane that literally knows everything (it has every song ever recorded downloaded on its database). So after a mission in which the plane goes rogue against the lead pilot&#39;s (Lucas) command, it is struck by lightning, re-wiring the circuits, sending it completely out of control and out of command. In other words, the plane is now aware of itself and does what it wants, dealing in absolutes. The plane is now a better than the three pilots, killing Foxx and grounding Biel, and losing Lucas. Lucas catches it at an air gas pump, and what ensues is one of the most spectacular action scenes I&#39;ve seen, with a massive gas ring of fire that Lucas must escape. Eventually, the plot thickens, and the true villain is revealed, and Lucas and the plane must team up in order to uncover the truth of naval corruption. To sum up the action, let&#39;s just say if you see a plane or helicopter, the odds are it&#39;s going to be blown up. This is a great action movie, and should be a good mark on all 3 actors resumes, especially Lucas.<br/><br/>8/10 --spy If the Navy is looking for splashy recruiting tools, it could do worse than Stealth, a zillion-dollar action movie stuffed with futuristic jet fighters, glamorous carrier pilots and an overload of explosive, mostly digital derring-do. Their is no official service wide policy in effect in peacetime. Whether or not officers and enlisted personnel wear dress uniform, uniform of the day or civilian clothing to frequent bars and nighclubs while overseas and off duty. Then it is always up to the discretion of the commanding officer of each command/unit/ship/submarine to set forth the uniform of the day requirements regarding how service members will be attired while off duty and mixing with the local civilian population. Keep in mind that whenever in uniform American service members are representing their nation and should always be on their best behavior. While stationed in the USA then uniform requirements are often relaxed for local commands including those stationed in Alaska and Hawaii. For naval personnel, dress whites are always difficult to keep clean the majority of the time.
